In the field of VET I obtained a rich experience as a teacher, lecturer, designer of training courses and VET consultant. Moreover I worked many years abroad in the field of international cooperation and humanitarian aid, where I could acquire under difficult conditions sound skills in project management, organizational development, safety & security management as well as leadership.

- MA in cultural anthropology and history, University of Berne.
- Further education e.g. in leadership, development cooperation and organizational development.
- Training as vocational teacher at Swiss Federal Institute of Vocational Education and Training.
- ICRC delegate with management function in Central Asia, Africa and the Balkans.
- Safety & security officer and program coordinator humanitarian aid and international cooperation at Caritas Switzerland.
- Officer of Swiss Army Special Forces Command (retired).
- Lecturer and freelance consultant for safety & security on missions abroad.
- Educational and consultant activities in basic and advanced VET.
- Member of the pool of VET consultants at the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).
- Lecturer for leadership and management at the Technical College of Higher Education, Grenchen/Switzerland.
